How often have you heard things like…”What do they actually do in that dept” or “when will they send us the right information”
We often don’t appreciate what our colleagues do or why they do things in a certain way. Many of us will have incorrectly perceived ideas about what people are like.
We are all tied up with our day to day pressures and its human nature to be hesitant to go and discuss things with colleagues who they don’t know that well.
If we spend time with them in a fun but constructive way we would find out what they do and more importantly, it gets people talking, improves communication, builds relationships and breaks down barriers, so in future they are more approachable and shock horror, they may be able to help each other!
Managers are suddenly more approachable which makes their job easier and staff are now able to give them their ideas
It’s a fact that if you have a team day or night out, your team will have lots to talk about. This “buzz” and enthusiasm will continue during working time – and if the team is happy they will communicate better and productivity will increase, boosting your business.
